Find out about Kilvert Country


Chris Barber MBE FRGS will be giving a fascinating talk on "Exploring Kilvert Country " at 4pm on Saturday 12th November at Cusop Village Hall. This beautifully illustrated talk will take you in the footsteps of Francis Kilvert (famous for his fascinating Diary) exploring the remote countryside to the north of Clyro, the Black Mountains and the beautiful Wye Valley. Chris has written a total of 31 books which cover: prehistoric standing stones, industrial archaeology, hill walking, history, and the myths and legends of Wales. His many interests and achievements have been recognised with an entry in ‘Who’s Who in the World’ and he is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. In 2008 he was awarded the MBE for ‘Service to the Community and Tourism’. Chris is also a well respected and popular lecturer and all of his lectures are richly illustrated with high quality images.
