June 5th 2026 Day 1, 'Exploring the origins of Cusop'. Getting the Dig underway First day of the Cusop Dig at Cusop Castle site, and after a briefing by Tim we got busy removing the turf from the first few of the 6 marked out trenches. The Herefordshire Hoard - Modern Day Pillaging Tim Hoverd Cusop Village Hall Thursday 19th February 2026 7.30pm (Free entry - donations for refreshments) The Herefordshire Hoard was discovered in 2015 by two metal detectorists. The hoard was made up of a number of gold artefacts and a quantity of silver coins, (as many as 300).
